I think growing up my truly be a hero’s journey.
Parenting is another hero’s journey.
In hindsight, you know how there are things you believe you can trust will always be around?
That’s…. not the case.
And that is okay.
I’ve been spending a good portion of today getting my Black Friday thingee done, and every now and then, basically rewiring my own programming regarding parenting.
I will very much look forward to this time being over.
But I’m above ground so…
It’s all good.

The phrase, gaslighting, was applied to me.
Which is like applying the word ‘thin’ to an elephant.
Or ‘fat’ to an amoeba.
*Totally* baffling… so I decided NOT to engage.
I cannot control how others want to warp the facts about me to suit their narrative.
So instead of taking ownership of their beliefs….
I chose to disengage.
I will admit, however, the whole experience was very eye-opening to me.
Never.again. will I let some things happen with me…
… and this only solidified my resolution.
In other words…
Your takeaway from that?
Take ownership of stuff you own. Not stuff other people try to MAKE you own.
A very powerful lesson indeed.
