It was recently announced that 4.9 Instagram accounts were compromised.
Actually, whoopsie, that’s a typo – multiply that number by 10,000,000 and you’ll be *much* closer to the total number of accounts that had its secret data scraped.
49… million. Think how many cups of coffee such a number (if it were dollars, mind you) could buy!
It appears that:
“…A massive database containing contact information of millions of Instagram influencers, celebrities and brand accounts has been found online.
The database, hosted by Amazon Web Services, was left exposed and without a password allowing anyone to look inside. At the time of writing, the database had over 49 million records — but was growing by the hour….”
But that’s not all!
“…From a brief review of the data, each record contained public data scraped from influencer Instagram accounts, including their bio, profile picture, the number of followers they have, if they’re verified and their location by city and country, but also contained their private contact information, such as the Instagram account owner’s email address and phone number….”

So what should your reaction to such a thing be?
Besides locking down your Instagram account… how about creating a cheatsheet on social marketing security in general? You could include within it topic regarding:

Step 3.) Ensure Your Phone Apps Do NOT Have Your Social Media Passwords

Ah yes, Wednesday!
But first:

Ever wake up one morning and think to yourself:
“Alrighty! That’s IT!”
It could be the culmination of several days/weeks/months/years or what have you of continuously striving uphill for a variety of reasons:
* Business evolution
* Mending fences
* Burning down the ships
and all that jazz.
No matter what, the one thing that almost always results is an extreme amount of …. *energy*.
Now, true, that energy might be negative and self-destructive and sorts of baddie-like stuff….
But did you know such fury could be transformed into profits down the road?
Here’s how.
First, you need to internalize that alas, the Universe STILL doesn’t give a darn about you or your problems.
The only person who will rescue you from your situation… is you!
Next, let’s tackle the cause of your fury.
Would you believe, it’s *you*?
You *firmly* own any reaction you might have to anything you might experience.
So if you’re currently furious at something, sure, there might have been a catalyst that finally lit the match on your bone-dry mile-high pile of kindling…
But that fury belongs *solely* to you.
You can clutch it to your chest and let it consume you into ash, OR….
You can redirect said fury into something that can benefit your family down the road.
For example, if you’re a product creator, whip out a quick PDF report (or even a 1 page PDF cheatsheet!), add in some done-for-you businesses in boxes as upsells…
And boom.
You earn money.
You build your list.
Most importantly, however:
Instead of allowing the fury to burn you up on the inside, reshape that pure energy into pure *action.*
Anger, hurt, pain, rejection, fury, disappointment, agony, etc…
You can either toss it in the direction of a bionic mushroom (aka www.macmillandictionary.com/us/buzzword/entries/bionic-mushroom.html ) or lacking those….
Just apply it to something that will benefit *you* and people *you* love.

… I find it fascinating the amount of mindspace that people give to others who offend them.
I mean… being offended (to me) means you’re wasting excess energy towards people who either:
- Simply do NOT care about your opinion
- OR are really happy they get under your skin.
Life is too annoying in other ways to give rent-free space in one’s mind to those who are undeserving.
Heck, yesterday I blocked a few folk on FB myself.
I did not appreciate their interpretations of my actions….
… and decided that they simply do NOT *deserve* to see what I have to offer online.
Very simple.
Today will be more gym ideally and more writing. Woot!

Take pride in what you have to offer. If someone is a jerk… don’t let them see what you have to offer. They simply do not deserve to see it.

The profile includes your business address, hours, contact information, and website, as well as a link to your business’s Instagram profile….

Such a topic would definitely lend itself towards a quick cheatsheet or one problem/one solution report! You could break it down into:
