Good morning!
It’s 3:39am or so (a perfect time to start work!) and today’s thought for you to share with your friends and network centeres upon the most exciting day innovation ever created for parents since the dawn of time school.
Did you know that 181 years ago, the first school bus ever made debuted (we’re talking 1827) and was horse (a real horse, mind you, the neigh-neigh kind, not the Porsche kind) powered? Built by George Shillibeer, known also as the designer of the ‘omnibus’, it was owned by a private Quaker school in Stoke Newington near London, England.
Marketer that he was, he soon realized that if the bus stopped multiple times, there’d be money in those activities, and the first bus route was born.
Gotta love entrepreneurs!
Enjoy,
Barbara Ling
