If you want to make money on the Internet, you simply HAVE to have a list.
With that charmingly obvious statement out of the way, here’s why. As the days and months and yes, years, go by, the quality of your email communications to your lists will reinforce the quality of the products/resources you have to offer. And a long-term relationship built on trust….well, it stands to reason that more money…it will make YOU.
I myself use aWeber for my lists; been using it now for 9 years or so and it’s great! But that’s the topic for another post.
Today, I want to talk about the kind of quality you can share with your audience. I was spurred to this by an email I received yesterday on Black Friday entitled:

Ahem.
Black Friday ways to lose….WEIGHT?
While I can understand that can be accomplished by your wallet lightening considerably, I couldn’t figure for the life of me just what those 10 tips were.
Hence…the email….she was opened.
And that led to me saying to meself:
"Jeepers self, what a nifty thing to do!"
Which caused the magnificent creation of the following email. I encourage you to read it to the very end.

1.) Offer your own Black Friday Sale

2.) Thinking of buying? Compare ALL the prices in one spot.
3.) Get local Black Friday Deals via Google News
Since people on my list both like making money AND saving money, the open rate was pretty nifty indeed!
And because I highlighted my current Black Friday sale as well, I made money myself too. 🙂
(ie,
==> TIME SENSITIVE Tips – My own Black Friday Sale Starts Today (Simple Traffic and more)
Take your niche.
Take Black Friday.
Marry the two together to come up with 3 tips your audience would be interested in. For example, if your niche is NASCAR, you can point out 3 places for Black Friday Nascar sales.
If your niche is Dog Training, you can write about dog park behavior tips (for visiting AFTER Black Friday shopping)….or go the "Here’s where to find discounts!" route.

And of course, ensure your first tip includes something that makes YOU money as well.
It’s a nifty way to put some extra cash in your pocket during these retail times.
