It’s Wednesday morning and you know something?
I have utterly zero desire to get up and be productive – totally hell of a night and, well, wow.
The craving for making things happen….is nonexistent.
Which of course, is kinda sorta unacceptable.
Basically (and I knew this would happen) I ‘way overdid it with my fillet of foot…and am SO paying for it now. Massive parenting issues that made me *really* wish I could be a typical permissive parent of this century (ie, not hold the line, scream my head off and not see things from my kids’ point of view)….
Still, though, like everything worth doing, if you drop the ball THEN….you need to pick it up now because nobody will do it for you. Sigh.
Which brings me to the point of this post.
If you don’t do it…nobody else…WILL.
So here’s what I’ve chosen to do…and I hope it helps you too!
Step 1.) Acknowledge to yourself you f*cked up.
Hey world! I f*cked up!
Trust me…you’ll feel better after giving yourself permission to admit, you’re only human. It takes away the need to beat yourself up.
Step 2.) Plan out your day in small chunks.
I need to set up the 12 Days of BlingMas, see.
But! I can afford to work in small bursts and rest the other after each effort. Hell, if I do NOT rest….I do NOT get work done in the afternoon. So after this post, I’m taking a short nap.
Because I can. And need to.
Debbie Benstein, aren’t you proud of me?
Step 3.) Put on helpful music.
I have 3 standbys!
Music helps everything. 🙂
The thing to take away is…
You might feel miserable…that’s okay. Deal with it.
I have to put together the 12 Days of BlingMas….and nobody will do it except me!
But nobody said… I have to work normally. 🙂
And neither do you. Do what you can…and make things rock!
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
