Coffee…..coffee……cofffffeeeeeeeeee!
Please? Whimper whimper?
Yes indeed, gentle reader, I am currently sitting downstairs with my husband, slowly returning back to this particular time/space continuum and letting my pulse slow, my energy drain, and my sanity return.
If you're a seasoned business person, I'll bet you know what happened to me, tra la tra la!
And if not, get ready for an introduction to this week's current edition of:
- How Barbara Ling zanily defies sheer common sense and makes the impossible….reality!
Got your popcorn, coffee and slumbering moosies by your side? It's the story of how I made my very first WSO…. NEW! HUGE Timely 350+ Page "Done For You" Profit-Producing WSO Affiliate PLR Package by 14+ Year Vet.
Alrighty then, it was a dark, stormy knight who knocked on my door and said "Ni!"
No no no. Sorry 'bout that, I'm *not* talking about:
Where was I?
Oh yes!
It was….Thursday. Yes, I'm sure…it was Thursday.
Because the kids had Thursday off!
Not only that, but check out my Friday morning Facebook status:
So yes, it *did* start at 2pm on Thursday.
Anywhos!
I was idly looking at my Daily WSOs site and noticed that September…
It was ending.
And I had started the site back around the end of August.
And I had 180+ posts!
All of them….including my own affiliate link.
And I got to thinking.
I like starting sentences with "And."
Sorry 'bout that.
Anywhos!
I got to thinking….gee. I wonder if it would be possible to copy and paste each blog post into Open Office? And if so, would the hyperlinks carry through?
So I called over my eldest and told her my ideas and she watched me do a test copy/paste. It was…..promising.
"Promising" like "taking the first step on a mile journey while wearing stilletos" is promising.
The gold truly was there, I could tell…but it would require some massive dedication to making my vision come alive.
I sat down for awhile and reviewed everything I've taught myself since 1990 (when I first started writing books) and then boldly declared:
"Why *not* give it a shot? After all….it might….just…..work."
I determinedly brewed up 23 cups of coffee, set up my Open Office template, and went to work.
First, I tried zeroing in on every post and copying/pasting that. After moss grew on my fingernails due to how long that was taking, I abandoned that effort….and taught me blog some new tricks that made it possible to copy and paste each category at one time.
45 copy/pastes, that was!
Once *that* was completed, I had to manually edit the look/feel/etc. I made sure to play appropriate music (you know what's coming, don't you?)
Yep.
I had the entire fake Egyptian temple erupt in my office as well.
Anywhos!
After getting into my own groove for this incredibly exciting death-defying spine-tingling adrenlin-rushing activity….I continued more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more until…..
I was done.
At around, oh, 4am on Friday morning.
But then!
Oh yes, but then!
I realized!
A 3d wondrous cover!
I didn't have one!
All together now….
WAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!
Not to fear, however, gentle reader….after firing up my eCover Black Pack (at less than $0.29 an action script!), I created the rather glorious:
But then! Then! THENNN!!!!!!!
An opportunity to gain ever more grey hairs erupted when I discovered the ultimate of Eeeekness.
And what was that, I hear you ask?
Tune in tomorrow! Because right now, I'm falling asleep on my keyboard…and logic decrees I actually (get this!) get to sleep at a decent hour.
See you then!
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
