Squidoo-wise, Honorable Boy 1 and Honorable Girl 2 both had unique encounters with bullying, which led me to create:
How To Teach Your Child to Stop Someone From Bullying
It was very character-building indeed.
With that out of the way, let’s tackle the more important things in life! Yesterday school ended for me kids, and in 10 days, Camp Ling will begin in earnest! Yes, it’s true – my kids have asked for a reprieve before I inflict vast amounts of agony and soul-searing angst begin the joy that is Camp Ling, and I graciously acquiesed. 🙂
So….yesterday, my kids asked me that because it was the last day of school, could they go shark tooth hunting instead of karate?
Sounds peachy, thought I (and I also used the occasion to validate the fact I’m not wheel-chair bound yet!), and we tackled the river and uncovered 30+ sharks’ teeth. Granted, most of them were quite teeny tiny, but a few could be seen with the naked eye. 🙂
Today was spent mainly relaxing with the kids, getting our Camp Ling exercise in, and I’ll be taking them soon to karate and aikido. Should be fun!
And that was me Thursday,
Barbara
