Sometimes, we're really immersed in life.
And at those times, we can become so laser-focused that we miss some pretty obvious common-sense ideas.
- Personally, I think life can be viewed…as a petri dish
When you're focusing on how life/the world treats you, you're living in the moment in said petri dish…but when you give yourself permission to step back and see what drives others to their actions, you gain a far broader understanding of what's *truly* influencing your existence.
This gifts you with insight you've never had before.
For me, in hindsight, I didn't have the ability to both see *and* internalize all of that last year.
I do now…and hope always to retain this hard-won ability. I never want to go thru such things again but I will admit – the long-term benefits far do outweigh the admittedly short-term-but-oh-so-agoni
Oh, and wondering what I'm talking about? I wrote a bit about it over at
How to Brilliantly Turn Failure Into Profit
I didn't share *all* that was going on with me, but it does give you a clue. 🙂
Thus today, tell yourself that to truly succeed in life, you really do need to give yourself permission to embrace the painful lessons that your guardian angel inflicts upon you.
The benefits you receive are truly extraordinary. Trust me on that.
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
