Morning!
It’s now Sunday (why yes it is!) and while I’m not holding my breath, it does appear that I might (as in might) be on the road to recovery. Yay!
You might remember that Friday night was utterly horrible pain-wise… and last night I was up until 11pm as well. However, after then…the pain meds did kick in and I had 5 blissful hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Wow, have I ever missed that!!
Got up around 4am, hobbled my way to the kitchen, made coffee and then hobbled my way to my office computer. Honorable Boy II has taken to sleeping here, so at 4:10am or so, I awakened him to bring in my coffee (that’s the price to pay for such luxurious surroundings! 🙂 )
What this whole adventure has shown me is the following.
1.) Eventually, chances are…things DO get better.
But wow, its hell to deal with while waiting for that!
2.) It’s okay to be weak sometimes.
It turns out that by sharing my current status, I was inspiring others in my Facebook network! And sure, some might say, well jeepers Barbara, Man up! Cupcake! but hey.
There are times I can be stoic…and there are times I honestly don’t care WHAT people think of me. If by showing vulnerabilities, I help others…..methinks the choice is obvious to me.
3.) The future is always in motion
Life might be miserable now…but that doesn’t mean the light won’t shine an hour, day, week, month, year etc. from now. Never give up!
So….it’s ever upwards and onwards for me! Hope your day goes grand….I’m going to do the best I can that mine will, as well.
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
