Nothing warms a parent’s heart more than hearing their wondrous child yelling from their office,
MOM! I know what sidebar.php does but what’s the name of the file that shows individual posts?

MOM! I want to change my 404 page! How do I do this?

MOM! THIS STUFF IS SOO FREAKING’ COOL!
As you can imagine, the blogging experiement is going along quite peachy like; why, soon it could embrace an entire orchard!
And after seeing her zany sense of humor (runs in the family I tell you!), I’ve given up giving her ideas on how to write – she must have one of the most unique blogging voices online. Blew me away it did! Consider her 404 idea:
Not existing is fun.
That url you typed in the address bar is nonexistent, which means that your keyboard is messed up, or you mis-typed something, or whatever. Why don’t you try again?
How on earth could I improve her skills??? I can’t! She sings her own song with no problem of her own.
To date, my kid has learned how to:
- Manually hack her WordPress theme
- Add pictures
- Use FTP
- Install WordPress plugins
- Start to comment at other blogs
In other words, things are really wonderful regarding the experiment – I’m so proud of the kid!
This weekend, we’ll start with more of the monetizing aspect – getting her signed up to eBay and Amazon and all those goodies.
But I’ll confide to you – listening to her talk to me about hacking up her "404.php" and "scheduling her blog posts" and such – it makes me smile deep inside…She really DOES get it.
Life is good!
Enjoy,
Barbara
