Are you immediately alerted whenever your site is hacked?
It was a dark and dreary day two days ago. After I had imbibed my beginners 43 cups of coffee, I opened my email to see the following.
Can YOU say "eeek?"
As you might imagine, the links above….kinda sorta are rogue and not supposed to be there.
In other words, the site in question got hacked.
Luckily, I was able to notify my customer asap, and get it fixed.
The site I use to monitor such things is free! and called:
At that site, you can enter in a list of pages you'd like to monitor, and voila, whenever a change occurs (read: spam injection!), you're notified of it.
Very useful indeed, eh?
There are other applications you can use, of course – things like:
Whichever one works for you, great! But just make certain you use *something*….your clients, customers and yourself will be Extremely Happy Peoples for it.
