Time for a rant it is for me!
You know, I’ve been doing SEO now back since when Infoseek was doing real-time indexing (fascinating time then – you could submit a page, test out the ranking, change the title tag, check it out again and see how many levels you gained or lost) and it never fails to amaze me just how cloak and daggery some marketers make it out to be.
The plain fact is, achieving high SEO for local searches is EASY. No, not just easy…but blindingly simple too.
Alas, blindingly simple and easy does NOT money make…and that’s probably why lots of SEO thingees have been touted as the next best thing since the miraculous never-ending coffee pot of life.
So…with that being said, how DO you go about achieving high SEO for local listings?
Well, first off – you need a blog. Not just a website, a BLOG, ie, something that Google loves to index.
WordPress is a perfect platform for any business, local or not, because of how easy it allows you to make new pages.
If you ad a new product or branch out into new towns or get a new phone number….you can easily add a new page to your site by simply crafting a new post….truly, site building has NEVER been easier!

So…what does local SEO REALLY mean?
Very simply…it means taking advantage of positive writing techniques that put YOUR site in front of your customers eyes when they’re searching for your local services in Google.
