So! You've chosen your niche and now you're building up your own following.
Ever want to flatten your learning curve…and zoom right up there to the level of "Hey! Let's ask THIS person, because she always has the answers!"?
Over the past 13+ years I've been an acknowledged industry expert online, I've found dozens and dozens and (dare I say it) DOZENS of shortcuts to achieving this level (having been one of the movers/shakers in the Internet training field does this for you. 🙂 ). And while the majority of my tips will be shared in my forth-coming book, I would like to give you one of my easiest tips imaginable.
You already know it, I'll bet…but I'll bet you might NOT be aware it can be used this way too!
Yes, I'm talking about Youtube. But NOT YouTube for entertainment.
You see, tons of experts already have made boatloads of 'how to' videos for the most bizarre of requests. And if you're on Twitter, let's say, and you see a tweet for help regarding an activity in your niche that you have yet to write about….you can gain points/visibility by zooming over to YouTube, searching for a vid that answers the question, and then posting a direct link to it.
For example, let's say that you focus in the style/makeup industry. Check out these makeup tutorials:
What if you're in the yoga/health industry, and someone wants to learn how to perform a full split? Searching for 'yoga splits', you might find
What if instead someone wants to learn how to change guitar strings?
You could direct them to any of the videos found in this search:
etc.etc.etc. All you have to do is search on
- tips
- how do I
- secrets
combined with the question at hand to serve up some really useful tutorials.
Because, remember:
You see, when you're building up your expert reputation, you don't HAVE to be the one PROVIDING all of the answers…you merely have to show you know WHERE to find them instead…and deliver those answers promptly and quickly to boot.
All it requires is for you to do a fundamental mind-shift – YouTube is not only for fun and entertainment, it's also a free way to make yourself look like you know where to uncover any tutorial imaginable to boot.
Why not try it out today and see?
