Oversaw two SunOS networks consisting of 90 workstations in Systems Engineering/ Development department. Debugged sendmail to fix problem introduced by other personnel. Wrote several scripts to gather remotely data for auditing purposes. Wrote guide introducing workstations to UNIX-challenging individuals, and taught one-on-one classes for new users. Ferreted out and resolved major security holes in server, and instructed junior admin in the art of problem-solving. Designed and developed a trouble-tracking system, xtrack, to track user concerns and resolutions. Created 'xhelp', an online workstation tool for users to find answers relating to the local area network. Wrote xpq, an Openwindows interface to pq. Supported users in Interleaf and Unix workstations in general. Oversaw build environment for software development department. Maintained build server and monitored all aspects of software creation from development to GA. Wrote remote sccs tools to allow 3b2 users to access Sun information. Assisted users by creating program which analyzed what libraries were included in executables via the nmake .ms file.
