🌠3 Character Building Lessons from Black Friday Offers?

Ever wake up one morning and think to yourself:

“Jeepers self, if only I could dance naked across a kitchen floor filled with freshly-sharpened Lego bricks, only to end my performance by slipping on the 8 litre coffee spill (which resulted from neglecting to return the coffee pot to its desired place prior to pressing BREW) and executing a glorious pirouette that landed me earlobe-first on the swimming pool deck (which was helpfully placed right next to the kitchen doors)?”

Gnope, me neither.

Well then! How about this?

Ever wake up sweating mightily from a nightmare of all your unsold Black Friday items suddenly animating themselves and marching towards your bedroom, fixing their zombie-like eyes (assuming they HAD eyes) upon your very soul and shrieking:

“Why didn’t you sellllll enough???”

If that’s slightly more realistic (which quite frankly I would be surprised), not to fear, you are not alone!

Not every Black Friday marketer cashed in on that glorious money-filled day.

Thus, some companies are examining their Black Friday successes (or lack therein) and writing up articles like:

I have to admit, it’s a pleasure to read! From comments like:

“…Once we had the offer figured out, next we devised a marketing plan. We decided that this offer was “CRAZY” and that should be the theme.

That was easy for me because I’m crazy mad about the pathetic ways that so many sellers use LinkedIn, such as spraying and praying or spamming their connections. These sellers are ruining LinkedIn for everyone! I even recorded a video where I let it all hang out with my “crazy” frustration on this issue, and where we announced our CRAZY Black Friday campaign… (notice how customer could definitely relate to this video)”

to

“…We also designed several graphic images to promote the campaign on social media and on our website. My favorite image is the one that shows me being confronted by highway patrol because they think our CRAZY offer is “a steal.” Isn’t it hilarious?!… (love companies who can have fun with their promos!”

It’s got something for everyone, Black-Friday-End-Goal achieving-wise.

Debriefing on holiday sales is something you can create a fantastic success sheet report about as well! It could be broken down into the following steps:

Step 1.) Review the final results

Step 2.) Check *what* advertising channels caused the most sales for you

Step 3.) Tally up the bottom line for future holiday campaigns.

Your takeaway?

Your sales activities do NOT end at the close of a holiday sales adventure…

… taking away powerful lessons from that is critical indeed.

Why not begin that today?

Enjoy!
