Ever wake up one day and wish that not only could click on all the ads you can eat…
… but you could also interact via your voice on all the ads that you hear?
As incredible as it sounds, Spotify just announced today that they’re testing out a Brand! New! Voice! Enabled! Exclamation! Point! , otherwise known as voice-enabled “ad experiences.”
Thus when a voice enabled ad is served, listeners can opt to engage with it by responding “Play now!”
To wit:
“….That voice command activates the playlist or podcast, which also contain additional ads. If the listener doesn’t respond or says something other than the “Play Now” command, the current audio content will resume as usual….”
Fascinating indeed.
So fascinating, as a matter of fact, that I checked out
voice activated ads
and came across:

Facinating stuff indeed.
And as much as I hate to admit it, it probably will become a Big Thing as opposed to dying a short, whimpering wah-like existence. So how can yo profit from such a thing?
Several ways:
1.) You can teach people how to create the technology behind smart thingees like Alexa:

2.) You could learn how to optimize your site for voice search:

3.) You could create a source regarding online music streaming:
Well forget that one unless you’re a musician yourself.
Your takeaway?
The mere fact that Ads are now being considered for user interaction (beyond ‘getting the click’ is something that should keep your ears open for future marketing abilities.
After all, the future is always in motion.
Enjoy!
