Ever wake up one morning and think to yourself:
“Jeeper self, if only I could add another payment method to my Amazon shop so I could appeal to beeyons and beeyons of more customers!”
Well if so, Amazon has heard your worshipful cry and offers Amazon Pay.
That’s not actually the main news here.
The big news is Amazon is courting merchants who use Amazon with this rather craveable idea:
“Amazon is enticing merchants to add its payments service to their websites by promising a chance of marketing exposure on the Amazon Pay website, blog, and newsletters.
“The Roaring 20s” offers merchants the chance to receive coveted marketing exposure, but they must activate Amazon Pay by February 21st to be eligible for an invitation.
The Roaring 20s is a reference to the prosperous period of the 1920s, with the start of the 2020s only weeks away. On its landing page, Amazon writes, “Welcome to the Roaring 20s! We’d like to help you start the decade strong with an exclusive campaign from Amazon Pay.”
Amazon Pay’s value proposition: “By adding Amazon Pay to your site, you’re offering hundreds of millions of Amazon customers a fast and familiar way to shop.”
