🌠The Art of Coming Together Amid Impossible Odds?

🌠The Art of Coming Together Amid Impossible Odds?

Ever wake up one morning and realize that after the mirrors have been smashed and the smoke blown away…

… there’s still bunches of bridge rebuilding that needs to be done with family, friends, businesses and more?

Ever wish you could somehow magically wave a glorious magic wand and things would go back to where they used to be?

Alas, ’tis not possible (in the vast majority of cases).

See, the first thing you have to realize is…. this.

Why didn’t people speak up during the past 4 years?

Oh that’s easy – back then, breathe a word about the former administration that was NOT negative and everyone jumped down your throat.

It just wasn’t *safe* to share one’s beliefs if it didn’t toe the media line.

(Full disclosure – I have an irrational hatred of all politics, all parties, all… well, everything in that area. It caused me to lose some family members so I am simply not sane on this topic whatsoever).

That being said, let’s look at something you might not have considered.

For whatever reason, people insist on dividing other peoples into the “Either OR” camp and tend to forget that out of 330 million people, *everyone* has different things that interest them. There IS no “one type of this belief” or “one type of that belief”.

But that is NOT what the media would like you to believe.

There is hope, however!

Consider these ideas:

* Have the news media return to *reporting* the news instead of putting their own spin on it.

* Call the same actions by the same names no matter what/who/etc is doing them.

For example, the actions that were called a “riot” in one city on the East Coast, well, similar actions were tolerated for more than 100 days on the West Coast as “mainly peaceful protests.”

Riots are riots are riots are riots no matter *who* is doing them.

That’s just one idea.

* But even more so – for the love of all that is positive in this universe, bring back a return of *courtesy* in this world. Drop the derogatory terms that might be used in any discussions! Understand that the talking points the media uses to slam particular beliefs/values/etc are just that – *talking points.*

* Go deeper if you really want to understand. Each and everyone one of us have reasons for whom we might value/support/vote for/disapprove of/etc.etc.etc.

* Listen more than you talk.

* Don’t demonize “the other side” simply because they have differing views than you do – listen to see *why* they have said differing views and perhaps… understanding might lead towards better bridges being built. All sides are hugely guilty of demonizing the other.

* Realize that the “game” of favoritism in the media is far deeper and far more shady than even the most devious of Hollywood producers could imagine. It’s insanity! to think that the general American citizen could know the inner workings/deals behind the scenes that can go several zillion layers deep .

Lessee…. what else….

www.allsides.com/blog/capitol-hill-breach-riot-coverage-demonstrates-media-bias

has some good discussions about news bias. News bias is SO insidious… and I personally think it’s something that has contributed towards the dumbing down of any modern country today.

Anywhos, in closing, I think America (and other countries too!) is certainly broken but definitely is capable of healing.

We as individuals are basically only cannon fodder for those people behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains who are behind the curtains …. you get what I mean.

==> Start the healing at the individual level. <==

Call out people whose behaviors are hurtful.

Proactively look out for friends/family/etc., and whenever you can share positivity/goodness/etc – well then, *do it*.

Kindness and quality start with one.

Be that one.

That’s *my* answer.

Enjoy!
