Ever wake up one morning and think to yourself:
“Jeepers self, Black Friday is set to do over 12 Billion this year – how on earth can I stand the excitement of participating in that? It’s soooo huge!”
Well if so, I have sad news for you.
Several years ago, Jack Ma started Singles Day in China to celebrate those who are, well, single.
And last year, it did over 38 Billion dollars in earnings.
Think about that for a moment.
Within the first hour or so, Black Friday levels are zoomed by in the country of China.
And not only that – its a huge entertainment extravaganza as well, with big huge electronic displays showing how much money is being spent… in real time.
That’s not the only rather unknown shopping holiday in the world either! We might have Black Friday in 20 countries like:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Middle East, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom (not to mention the USA)…
During that time, from Friday until Monday, the Middle East celebrates White Friday (another great big huge “lets spend money!” event.
And get this – White Friday was started by the company Souq. In 2017… Amazon bought said Souq for 580 million dollars (the old site now redirects to the “Amazon in the Middle East” domain).
Fancy that!
Now, with such glorious holidays approaching, how on earth can you profit from it?
Well, Singles Day is basically out unless you see super bargains on AliExpress you can flip during 2020.
And of course, you can create your own special Black Friday sale as well!
Another idea though…. is to think about eCommerce for 2020. I mean, ’tis the season for spending money, so why not take advantage of that concept and add it to your bottom line come next year?
‘Matter of fact, you could create a simple 1 2 3 cheatsheet about it! The steps could be:
Step 1.) First, Understand the Geographic Differences
Step 2.) Next, Offer/Buy Location Based Bargains!
Step 3.) Finally, Think eCom 2020!
