Good morning all,
Today is the 11th year anniversary of the horrific tragedy known as Sept. 11th.
I vividly remember where I was 11 years ago today – I was sitting at my computer downstairs in the Warren house, working on my Internet recruiting training materials. I received an update from the awesome Minnie that “OMG, the Pentagon has been hit too!”
And time just froze.
For a few seconds, that is. Then I realized that Hey! There’s been terrorist attacks on US soil – I want my kids home with me *now*. So I zoomed to the elementary school to pick up my eldest (who was in Kindergarten), and then rocketed over to Goddard School to pick up the other.
It was only later on that I learned several people I knew lost loved ones – folks whose children played with mine, people with whom I had worked at Bell Labs, etc.
Horrible.
Today is the 11th anniversary of the cowardly attacks of September 11th. Let us all take the time to remember.
