You Can’t Imagine The Jaw-dropping 4 Words I Experienced This Black Friday.

Black Friday.

It’s a time of sheer mental insanity comparable to the frantic last minute purchases done by customers 2 minutes before a sale ends!

But for me…yesterday… it was a time where what’s TRULY important smacked me upside the head.

Here’s what happened.

I had taken Honorable Daughter 1 and Honorable Daughter II to Target in the early morning so they could grab the nifty iPhone sales.  While there, the order encountered massive opportunities for extreme frustration, so my eldest and I decided to sit down and wait.

During that time, I shared with her some insights from this years’ business.   I’ve had months where I have cleared 25K, months where I haven’t, and have made both sterling and idjut-totic decisions regarding several aspects of business.

I was feeling rather down about that.  To which my eldest responded:

“Mom, even if you did some things  wrong in business, as a Mom, you did everything right.  You’ve always been there for me to talk to, you’ve always been there for the other 3 kids, you’ve never backed down from helping us face whatever it was that was bothering us.

You’re the greatest, Mom!”

Wow.

Cue the tears.

At that moment, I realized yet again that it’s NOT mainly my business success that defines me.

It’s how I’m influencing my kids.

Talk about a slap upside the head.

So…. when you are feeling a bit lost because life isn’t treating you the way you wish….

Remember.

It’s what you pass on to those you love… that really makes the difference in life.
