Sometimes, we find ourselves with approximately 4,382 metrics tons of work to do.
And sometimes, we get annoyingly contacted by friends who either ask for help, or ask for a review, or …. you know what I mean.
It's something that detracts you from focusing 100% solely on….*you*.
But you know something?
The future…is *always* in motion.
- You might get hit by a bus tomorrow.
- Your loved one might be diagnosed with cancer.
- Your business server might get hacked.
- Your house might burn down.
And while you might feel 100% totally self-sufficient today, or feel that your business needs forbid you to help out a fellow colleague…you just *never know* what tomorrow will bring.
I was just reminded of that this morning; due to my delightful crashing and burning of last night, my workload is sooooo huge (all together now, "How huge Barbara?") that an obese gorilla is feather-light in comparison!
Still, though, I was offered 2fers to review (and wow, is it awesomely tremendous for affiliate marketers), *and* also found out about CommentLuv Premium (a godlike WordPress plugin that I'm going to blog about shortly). Realizing that the two people who authored the above are pretty nifty folk and have helped me out in the past, I checked it out…and am ever so glad I did!
I'd never have gained the benefits of the above if I had held to my "I'm 100% focused on me me meeeeeeee!" attitude that I had this morning.
Thus today, tell yourself that what goes around, comes around….and it doesn't have to crash in a flaming ball of ickness for your future.
Instead, be alert to the opportunity for being a covert angel…and take out the 5 minutes required to see what someone needs.
The benefits will last long into your future.
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
