Today I want to talk about authority marketing in a way you’ve never considered before.
Mainly because it has zero to do with marketing…. but a HUGE amount to do with confidence! And confidence is a powerful component of authority.
Have you ever seen or heard your friends/family/etc. going thru a rough patch?
You know what I mean, right? Folks in your network who might share with you personal struggles or post about their lack of optimalness or otherwise…. just be in a very low place at this moment.
Here’s an idea! If you want to reach out to that person but are prey to the “Oh well, they’ll take it amiss/etc.” way of thinking, do this instead.
Post something supportive to their situation on YOUR wall.
Most likely, they’ll see it.
And they’ll equate the motivational message to their own situation…. and their spirits will rise. “Hey, I’m not the only one going thru this!”

Interestingly enough, one minute later I found and shared something that just plain made *me* smile for such things:
See, the point here isn’t to gain points that you’re supporting your friends (that’s why I didn’t tag anyone). However, I’m pretty certain the message will go thru… and lift the spirits of the person about whom I’m worried.
A win win indeed!
After all, it takes 30 seconds TOPS to be proactive and reach out.
30 seconds.
Out of your life.
1/120th of an hour.
1/2 of a minute.
So, if you WANT to help out… but are AFRAID to help out…. this is one case in which being passive-supportive can really be a Good Thing indeed.
