2.) Officially, you can only comment on people you follow
This is to cut down on drive-by bot spam. Sad, but true. So….if you want to start engaging your audience you need to be actively following them.
However, if a person has enabled an “ask box” (you can change the settings for this, such as permitting anonymous comments, in Customize> Community) then you can leave that person a question.
Also, if the person has Disqus installed…you could comment as well if you’re logged into Disqus.

3.) You can get an RSS Feed from your Tumblr!
This…is HUGE.
A tumblr RSS feed is simply the Tumbr address followed by ‘rss’ – ie, this list of 2013 Tumblr Tumblogs to follow!

Yes, all those links have ‘rss’ tacked after them.
You can add your Tumblr RSS (or other marketable streams RSS) into a feedreader, you can re-blog them via autoposting, you can send them to Twitter or Facebook….TONS of stuff you can do!!
