Sometimes, we lose our faith in our fellow peoples.
And sometimes, we get more cynical than 94 Mexican Jumping Beans who see the factory packaging plant ‘way off in the distance, fast approaching.
Given what I’ve gone thru these past 3 weeks, I can happily admit my level of cynicalness would flatten concrete blocks these days.
But then…I remember JK. You *definitely want to follow her bigtime, she’s just plain awesome.
Now, JK is the magnificent woman who answered my plea for crocheted pomegranates, ‘way back in, hmmm, March of 2011?
To quote her on her review page for my book Fast Track Affiliate Marketing Power:
It all started with a pomegranate
or, How I Happened To Find This Product
What do Crocheted Pomegranates have to do with Affiliate Marketing? Well … oddly enough, it was a random tweet about crocheted pomegranates that introduced Barbara and I. Somewhere along the line, we’d started following each other on Twitter, and one day she tweeted asking about crocheted pomegranates. We started a conversation, and I discovered her products. The rest, as they say, is history……
To make a long story short, CGAL crocheted me some magnificent pomegranates for free, just out of the kindness of her heart, 6 months ago.
I never forgot that.
Zoom up to this week!
I’m in the process of adding a free affiliate marketing class to my offerings, and was setting up all the discounts, upsells and the like.
And I figured that wow! I could use JK’s dynamic review of me product!
But…a problem showed up. I was offering a discount in my class….a discount that her page didn’t show.
Not good at all!
So I’m now earlobe-deep in figuring out how to ensure her links give the same goodness so she receives the commission from anyone whom her page convinces.
It’s my way of giving back to her.
Thus, tell yourself today that you will remember those social networking strangers you meet online…and if one of them helps you out unexpected, be sure to return the favor sometime in the future.
It’s simply the right thing to do.
Grow strong,
Barbara Ling
