Simple ways to spark your authority brain
Unfortunately, the facts are undeniable. Chances are, if you’re sitting behind a desk your weight will slowly but surely start to creep up on you, like a seductive sack of concrete camouflaged as an extra bag of potato chips here, last nights’ reheated Chinese take meal there, and the like.
The challenge with this is the more you’re tempted to imitate an ever expanding Mylar balloon, your body generally gives you ZERO reasons to change. I mean, heck! It’s nice and comfy to sit and take up space…after all, you’re creating the Next Great Super Authoritative Must-Have online!
This is truly a hideously insidious catch 22.
And it will ultimately destroy your health. And your future business success. Because after all, if you’re on a downwards spiral….how can you expect to lead your community?
I should know – almost a year ago I opted to fuse my ankle. Since then, I’ve put on about 8 pounds or so (nothing insane like my prior 188 pounds) but I’ve also noticed that I was moving with the style and grace of a rusty beached Ford Chevrolet. And that *was* impacting my life – my kids, my spouse, my everything.
Until I decided to take change.
And change my life.
By returning to the easiest way for me of losing weight – free weights and bodyweight.
The tremendous benefit free weights either in your home or at the gym offers is that is helps build muscle, tone your body, shape your flab (well, okay, as your flab melts away, the shapely muscles appear!) and the like. And honestly, it’s not that difficult at all to begin. Two of my favorite sites online include:
- Stumptuous – This site has been around since the late 1990s and is superb for women who want to lift.
- Ross Fitness, Never Gymless – Pure bodyweight exercises you can do at home.
I’ll be writing more about this as my own adventures continue, but did want to close with the following.
Nature and the Universe doesn’t give a damn if you choose to let yourself degrade to hell.
Just like, your business mentors cannot make your success *for* you.
It has to come from *within*.
What do you think?
Grow strong,
