I’ll be the first to confess it.
My ability to organize things is almost as amazing as my ability to:
* Win the NYC marathon!
* Defeat Jean-Claude Van Damme one on one as a MMA competition! (speaking of which, he has what looks to be a rather hiliarious Amazon Prime movie arriving in December:
* Speak learnedly on how to source Automotive Engineers online! (actually, give me 24 hours, and I could easily do that – used to give seminars on Internet recruiting back in 1998 so let’s move to)
* Dance the lead ballerina role of Swan Lake (the more tippy-toes the better!)
In other words, I was a wee bit disorganized.
Nowadays, I’m a bit better, but still.
Anywhos, I participate in several social networks. One person had commented how an unexpected disaster had hit while he was on a roll.
And when reading that, I immediately zoomed to a memory from 11 years I had of creating one of my feel-better memes. It featured a maple-frosted coffee roll.
I kid you not. I mean, isn’t that the way everyone’s minds work? ![]()
Thing was, I couldn’t remember where I had stored it!
But because the husband ensures all my work always carries over from server to server, I have about… 30? years of digital content I’ve created.
But how to unearth it? After some fruitless (not even 1 mango!) searching, I remember another series of memes I made back then called ‘Ling’s Rules of Marketing’. I then xrayed my blog and found
The name of that image is 3334askforhelp.jpg … and once I realized that, I could search for that filename. Lo and behold after doing that…
I found my coffeeroll image. ![]()
And I was able to raise the spirits of my colleague.
Your takeway? Never delete what you create… you *never* know when it might come in handy some day 11 years in the future.
Enoy!
