Sometimes you don’t do the right thing when you know you should.
Sometimes you bow to the pressure of others when you shouldn’t.
I did that 3 years ago… but haven’t since. Still, though, I never did publicly apologize to the person in question…. so I did just now in my moose group.
To wit:
“Confession time. Back when I had just started this group, I lacked the courage of my convictions to tell people to go to hell when necessary.
Dani Jolie was one of the first people to share multiple snowdog pix . He shared bunches of Princess Nikiea photos. Some people took umbrage to that and started responding negatively to that.
To this day, I regret the fact I didn’t tell them to take a flying leap to whatever sad, sorry place their jerkiness deserved. You know who you are.
Since then, I’ve made sure to support those who post moosePix but I realize…
I have never apologized publicly to Dani Jolie for not standing up for him when I should have.
*I was wrong* back then and I apologize.
To Dani’s credit, he never stopped sharing. To my eternal discredit, I never proactively address the situation.
So I am addressing it now.
I am sorry, Dani. In part thanks to your continouous sharing of the Princess, I have internalized just how important it is to be a shining light in the world and to hell with the tweebleheads.
Just had to get that off me chest. Long live The Princess!”
