One of the great things about the Internet is how you can keep connections going for years and years, even with people you do not know in real life.
I’ve been a member now of such a group for 26 years. And one individual has been on the front lines of ICU covid patients for over …. 14 months.
And it’s taking a toll on him.
PTSD has many many many *many* different forms. True, military PTSD is the best-known and is a horrendous, horrible thing.
It expresses itself in other ways as well, ways that people might not consider “PTSD.”
Escaping from domestic violence – survivors can experience PTSD from memories of the abuse they experienced.
Watching people die in ICU because of covid when in some cases it could have been prevented…. that can result in PTSD.
Working in any situation where the outcome is often traumatic – PTSD.
The thing is…. for *anyone* enduring PTSD, there *is* help.

So why post this in a marketing forum?
Many of our colleagues have gone thru experiences that result in PTSD. Thing is… many folks will never share it until it’s too late.
It can never *be* too late.
If you find yourself at a risk because of PTSD, *reach out*.
If you refuse to show it online, that is perfectly okay, but still… reach out.
Friends, family, folks who love and care about you.
PTSD is NOT a sign of weakness.
It’s like a physical wound that causes trauma and is hell to heal….
But healing truly can be achieved.
A grand documentary regarding healing from trauma can be found at:

(NOTE – it can be hugely painful to watch. But it’s well worth it indeed).
Your takeaway?
It’s okay to admit to yourself, hey! I need help.
Give yourself permission to make that so.
Enjoy!
