Short Reports ==> Long Term Income – The Insider’s Scoop!

The following is the insider story by Dennis Becker, creator of the Earn1KaDay forum.  It, well, *rocks*.

See what you think…..

After several hundred sales of “Short Report Magic” the feedback has been phenomenal. Did you pick up your copy yet?

Creating short reports isn’t always done for immediate profit, though it can be.

My case study that I told you about used short reports to build an email list of over 5000 subscribers (I told you it was 4970 on Friday, it’s grown since then to 5013).

That list brings me a good income, and remember, that’s not my only list segment. There are other lists that I’ve built with other reports, or in other ways.

But let’s talk about profiting from short reports today. Obviously it took some time to build that list of 5000 names, I started over 2 years ago.

So if I were starting today from scratch, I’d probably write a short report, using the “one problem, one solution” style of product creation, and either sell the report, or give it away on a squeeze page (email signup form).

The problem is getting traffic to the report, so if starting from scratch, I’d probably run a Warrior Special Offer selling the report for a low price, paying 100% commissions to affiliates, and add the names of the buyers to my new list.

(BTL note – ooooo good advice indeed!)

Doing that would cause my list to expand over the coming weeks and months.

I know marketers whose entire business model is exactly what I said above, and they’re often making $10,000 a month or more income.

So writing a single short report can prime the pump, and continuing to write and sell future short reports will keep the momentum going.

You can also take advantage of article marketing directories and document sharing sites, maybe by excerpting a portion of a short report as a 400 to 500 word article, and in your resource box you would invite readers to pick up the entire report by vising your site.

Prefer video? OK, no problem, write a short report as a script and then make a video out of it.

You could also use short reports, perhaps broken up into segments, on your blog, to gain traffic and fans there.

It all begins with learning how, and appreciating why, to put words on paper.

Most beginning Internet marketers, even many experienced ones, think they have to put together a ton of content in order to have a product to sell, and they become overwhelmed and frightened by the thought.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most people possess knowledge that would benefit others, and are painfully unappreciative of that fact.

Once you acknowledge that you have something of value to add to your niche, the act of creating a short report about that particular skill or insight is usually a simple step by step process, and is outlined here:

And once you get your first short report out and earning income for you, you might find yourself suddenly in love with the process, causing more of the same to happen, your income to escalate, your status in your niche community to soar…

It’s all good.

The reports in my case study that’s part of Short Report Magic were around 800 words in length. Nothing overwhelming with that, right?

So what else can happen by writing short reports, besides the obvious of building big email lists or making money from selling the reports?

Well, you can use the reports that you write (or have written for you) as bonuses to help you promote affiliate offers. Do you notice that on certain days you might get emails from a dozen or more different marketers all mentioning the same new product?

That happens when a product creator is offering either high commissions or affiliate prizes for the top sales. You’ll notice that the affiliates are offering bonuses for choosing their link to buy from. Enter your collection of short reports, or one or two that you write especially for the offer you’re promoting.

I’ve been in affiliate contests where others have offered boatloads of crap worth (supposedly) thousands of dollars, and I’ve offered a bonus of a 10 to 15 page report that matches the product I’m promoting, and end up as one of the top affiliates.

No surprise there.

And buyers write to tell me that they chose my link because I offered the best bonus, for them.

And then there’s Amazon.

A short report can easily be turned into a chapter in a Kindle book, and 8 to 10 chapters, made up of 8 to 10 short reports, can then be a book for sale on Amazon.

Often you don’t even need that many chapters, actually.

So again, regardless of your experience, regardless of your niche, regardless of your background, regardless of your ability to spend money to get started, regardless of what country you reside in…

I encourage you to start writing short reports, and using them to build your business.
