Where was I?
Ah yes, Friday!
But first:

Ever imagine just how much goodness you would create online if you only had just 10 more hours each day?
Oooooo imagine that!
Instead of having a mere piffling 24 hours each day where you could sit, boldly staring at the computer screen and accomplishing less than nothing, you’d have 34(!!!!) hours you could the exact same thing!
24 hours of hoping your computer monitor would crack so you had a *real* excuse…. now compare that to 34(!) hours doing the identical exercise… only 10 hours longer!
Sounds like paradise, right?
Well, actually, it does sound rather more like the pit of Unmatched Single Sock Drawers Coming To Life, wouldn’t you agree?
Yep. What I said.
See, one of the challenges of supporting you and your family online is, well, you kinda sorta have to earn enough money TO support your family online.
But if you’re not yet used to doing that, sometimes you’ll feel overwhelmed with all that ….. *stuff* …. that has to get done!
Create a product here…
Set up an autoresponder there…
Write a blog 30 degrees in the sunset direction…
Configure your payment processor to automatically spit out cash like a robotic ATM…
You know what I mean, right?
And sometimes, when you’re faced with such a sheer amount of, OMG MAKE IT STOP, you simply figuratively run face first into a brick wall, bounce with style and grace across several football field lengths…
… and end up sprawled on your back, watching the adorablez little sweet cherubic faces of the preschool class that you just interrupted, peering in wonder at how you managed to pull that acrobatic trick off (and getting ready to ask their teacher if they could do the same!).
But I digress.
Analysis/paralysis (yep, that’s what I just described above) is knowing you have to do SOMETHING…. but feeling like you’re glued into the same spot (yep, I just described it here as well).
And it’s a horrible thing to experience as a marketer, because a full day’s worth of 34 hours could pass and you realize that your accomplishments were slightly more hefty than 1/2 of a grain of sand, located in the rains of Africa.
But horrible or not, it has to be conquered for you to move forward.
Luckily, the means by which to do so… well, they’re not difficult at all (but giving yourself permission to do so, well, that’s a whole ‘nother kettle of coffeecups).
‘Matter of fact, you could even create a coolios 1 page cheatsheet about it like so:
Step 1.) Internalize that no matter what, the sun will rise tomorrow – do you want it to rise at a negative or a positive?
Step 2.) Give yourself permission to banish all of the negative messages you might have internalized during your life… because today is a New Day
Step 3.) Break the current BIG goal into a series of little goals… and calmly mow your way thru them, good or bad.

Actually gnope – it’s Thursday around 8pm.
I will admit… I’m going thru a “I’ve had better centuries” time.
Ever feel like that?
Like… you know what needs to be done and yet your physical health every single day reminds you of how nonoptimal you really are?
I spent the vast majority of Thursday being kind to myself (did biking, however – yay!) and am realizing yet again that the only person who can fix me is, well, me.
So my plans for today involve more massive selfcare (aka gym!) and…

Starting afresh?
It goes without saying that as you grow and mature and age….
>> your abilities change. <<
Perhaps they increase with the knowledge you gain…
… perhaps they decrease with the new health concerns you run into.
No matter what, you always need to be willing to evolve your business and marketing online.
As your health decreases, you’ll discover you lack the energy to always be at 140% optimalness.
And you’ll have to implement automation to keep your social interactions at the usual level (I myself use Buffer/Feedly among other tools).
However, the most important thing you’ll have to do is shift your mindset and make yourself okay with doing less until you can recover/build up to more.
I’m going thru this myself right now… and ideally will start to document some of the best ideas and practices I use to continue to support my family online.
Right now, I can tell you that I’m currently reviewing the wealth of knowledge I have…
… and thinking about how to apply my templates to these ideas…
… and seeing how that can grow.
Remember, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel, if Ferraris already exist…
… you simply have to discover how to make them work for you.

Would you believe…
… it IS possible to make money with Google maps BUT….
… it’s highly unethical and really rather scummy of the folks who are doing it.

highlights how at any one time, over 11 millions Google Maps listings are fake ( see www.engadget.com/2019/06/20/wsj-google-maps-is-filled-with-fake-business-listings/ for more insights on that).
To wit:
“…Why would someone create a fake business listing? WSJ found out that there are a variety of motives behind such scams. Some businesses will create fake profiles for their competitors listing wrong phone numbers or addresses. Scam artists will also impersonate legitimate businesses and lure unsuspecting customers. One federal employee profiled in the story was conned by a fake repair service she found through a Google query. The con artist impersonated a company contractor, did a poor job and then charged the victim almost twice the amount of previous repairs.
Google has responded to the claims in the WSJ report by taking down the identified fake listings. The company said it’s added new safeguards for “high-risk categories” in its business listings. These include contractors and repair services, which customers normally only flock to in an emergency and have little time to research. This isn’t the search engine’s first response to deception on this service: Last year, Google took down more than 3 million false business profiles and disabled 150,000 accounts used to make them. Additionally, in a blog post, the company explained its internal systems flagged “more than 85 percent of these removals” and over 250,000 fake profiles were reported by users….”
Can you imagine?
Seriously, the mind boggles.
I mean, I was scammed by the Contractor from Hell in 1999… can you imagine how much money scammers can make by putting their hellish services in Google Maps??
Wow.
But back to making money with Google Maps…
One way you can do this legitimately is to offer a local/offline service to businesses to create their Google My Business Profile over at
Chances are, bunches of local businesses have zero idea how to make these kinds of listings work for them…
… so would be a ‘way easier sell (aka, being listed prominently on Google for local search is something that would bring in more local profits!).
You could even create a one page cheatsheet on it:
Step 1.) Learn how to max out Google My Business listings
Step 2.) Find businesses who lack a Google My Business listings
Step 3.) Add the Google My Business listings service to your offerings
