Had the best of intentions for getting my latest out yesterday, I really did.

DID get to the gym…. (yay!) Behold my look of utter excitement.

It’s almost as thrilling as…. as…. as….. moose wrassln’! 🙂

After that, my husband decided to treat our youngest to IKEA and help him fix his mouse cage (long long long story – basically my youngest is really attuned to small animals and now has a piggyMoose, 3 hammyMooses and now… 4 feeder miceyMooses. Side note – mice are pretty smart and quite adorable. More on that later….).

During the afternoon, alas, I kinda sorta could have done better, so spent most of the day on bedrest. But!

Don’t forget yesterdays:

Where was I? Ah yes, Wednesday!

What an ickified day was yesterday.

Then, I had visited my ankle doctor, and discovered that there appears to be a fracture in my ankle (from my surgery 4 years ago) that was part of the ‘bolting things together’.

Delightful! Not.

I didn’t want to deal with things… so I just kinda sorta hid by myself and figured, I’ll tackle it all tomorrow. However, as I pride myself on transparancy, I did write:

So! There is a slight possibility at some time in your life…

… you’ll encounter a reality less desirable than trying to fill up a shattered coffeecup with premium blend.

That be me right now.

And how do you deal with it when it happens?

First you put on music from your childhood.

Here’s mine:

Next, you give yourself permission to wallow in self-pity and get all that excess energy out.

I’m right now in bed, ankle elevated, working on my laptop.

You then either instruct your family to bring you your fav foods or make them yourself (soup!).

Next, you tell yourself:

“Only I can change my own future.”

Then you promptly ignore that because you’re still awash with self-pity, BUT you do tuck that concept away for tomorrow to focus upon.

From there, you either:

* Drown your sorrows in your preferred way (soup!)

* Look for inspirational images to post because even if you’re miserable, you can still lift the spirits of those who read your words

* Write up your feelings, share it with your friends, and realize, you’re above ground today, and if you’re above ground tomorrow, you’re way ahead of those who ‘taint.

So! Remember folks – life is fleeting.

Your good health could be snatched away at a moment’s notice.

But where there’s life, there’s hope… and hope… well, that helps power The Force.

May the Force be with you. Always.”

Speaking of the Force….

Carrie Fisher passed away yesterday.

For me, that has to be one of the most painful deaths of 2016.

The whole concept of Star Wars, the Force, Jedis, etc….

…. it helped me thru some rather dark times during the past couple of centuries.
