Woke up this morning to reading more about paid protesters against the elections.
So I posted:
Now, by doing so, I was ignoring my own promise to myself – never take things in media at face value.
Caliban Darklock wrote a superb commentary that included:
“Hey, just a quick point.
Remember before we voted, the media on both sides totally lied to us about what was happening with the vote?
I mean they both predicted landslides, and what we got was a result decided by a number that looks more like a salary than a population.
So why is it that when the media now turn around and tell you there are riots in the streets and this side or that side is doing this thing or that thing… so many people haven’t learned their lesson?
The media lie. It’s what they do. They don’t care if you’re smart. They don’t care if you learn anything. They just want you to keep watching. News is not education. It’s entertainment.”

Well, imagine my surprise when this person posted on my thread:
“Really? I mean, really? You are THAT stupid!?!?”
to which I responded:
“Words of wisdom – the best way to compel people to listen to your side is NOT to call them stupid.”
The next comment in response was:
“You use that word not me maybe there’s something unconscious going on?”

I’m actually wrote this at 12:10am. My kids are up, waiting to see the election results… and I was sharing that experience with them.
The thing is…
…. no matter who wins, it’s time for America to take back America….
And that means NOT giving into hate, fear, anti-science, religious persecution and the like.
Courage!
Elsewhere in Lingland, I made sure to get to the voting at 6am (yay!):
Then drove to the gym…. and a deer flashed out in front of my car and kinda sorta smooshed the left side. Life can change in an instant…. I am so lucky the deer did NOT go thru the windshield!
I’m lucky to still be alive. Sobering thought, that.
And even if you choose not to believe it… there are folks who look up to you for guidance. They might need you more than ever after this election….
