I’m alive!
Yesterday totally smooshed me.
The thing is:
Weighted blankets.
Have you ever heard of such things?
They’re blankets that weigh 15 pounds or so…
The premise is that it feels just like a great big hug!
Ummmmmmm….
Gnope.
It just feels like extra weight on you.
BUT! It’s a rather pleasant feeling. So I use one.
But yesterday… I woke up at… 9? am. The husband insisted I go to the gym just to move (massive backache and stuff). I did, came home….
… and the rest of the day was just plain bedrest.
Woke up late… but woke up much more energized!!

I’m just waiting to see if my original Thursday flight is cancelled…
I will feel so vindicated if so!
Had a great convo with my 3rd kid too. I mentioned how if one wants to change lives…. one has to ensure the audience is not only willing to listen to different views but also consider them as well. Bashing people over the head with intellect/data hardly ever works… but being willing to talk so others WANT to converse….
… well, that’s a tremendous skill.

I am so sorry I smooshized from Sunday until today.
From Sunday until today (Wednesday), I simply ran out of energy.
Yes, I could have forced myself still… but I decided to focus on my launch, kids, and self-care.
The thing is:

See, I’m home now, writing this to you from the luxury of my home computer.
I was due to arrive here in NJ on Thursday, you know…
… but I heard that from today until Thursday, there will be ANOTHER Nor’easter.
AND… my 3rd kid is home as you might remember….
So I really really really did NOT want to be stranded in the Airport.
I ended up grabbing the flight yesterday – got up at 3am PST and home around 4pm EST (the husband picked me up and we went to Costco for storm supplies).
Woke up super late EST time (7:30am) but I feel quite at peace and vaguely refreshed.
And what was the first thing I did this morning before even taking a shower?
Started my coffee… AND…. added my beloved chili pepper flakes!
SO GOOD!
