… it’s only a matter of time (if it hasn’t happened already!) that AI will be used more and more in an effort to sway public opinion.

Ah yes, it’s Friday!
Actually it’s kinda like Thursday at around… 11pm?
Really intense Star Trek Discovery episode…
Like intense to the nth degree.
This episode (no spoilers) dealt with parental relationships.
So I wrote on my wall:
“Pride is a very lonely companion, not just at night, but also thru your life.
The inability to see what other people go thru (due to your own lack of those particular life experiences) can also cause you stress, later on in life…
… when you realize that things you assumed about your parents and other people that you loved, were, well, wrong.
Great books and great movies and great TV can compel you to think about such things.
Which I’m doing now.
I *so* regret the fact I did NOT possess the ability to truly understand some aspects of what my mom was going thru, during the last few years when she was dying.
I have so much regret now.
And Im going to make sure I break the cycle… and ensure *my* kids and I never have those kinds of miscommunications at all.
Well, to the best of my abilities, that is.
Still processing it all… and I owe it to this week’s episode of Star Trek Discovery that I started realizing all of this.
Wow.”
And as you can tell because I’m awake…
I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
Lots of regrets regarding my mom.
So many things could be different… if she chose to *communicate*.
Which she didn’t.
Sigh.
In other Ling family adventures, took Kid4 for eye exam (yay!) and Kid4Friend as well out and about.
A great time was had by all.
I like Kid4Friend. It’s *so* awesome Kid4 is growing well, on track, and making excellent friendships.

Ah yes, it’s Thursday!
Oh wow, what a day yesterday.
Had a good conversation with Kid4 and Kid4Friend, and made this video:
It talks about how pride is a very lonely companion at night, and how holding fast to pride can be a huge mistake.
And about your personal greatness?
I wrote this yesterday:
All in all, a rather good day indeed. Got to bike twice for half an hour each time (yay!). Got launch ready to go, yay! Finally started re-templating my launches and thinking about the same for launches with Dennis Becker and myself (like the really cool one that’s going live tomorrow!).
Lots of personal soul-searching as well. I deserve excellent treatment… first and foremost, by myself. I’ve realized that for quite awhile now, I haven’t really honored what I am capable of achieving.
That has to change.
I’m really superb at teaching others how to let their inner greatness shine… but I do confess that while I put health/selfcare as an important thingee… I haven’t really put “me care” as a critical component either.
That must change as well.
How it will happen… well, we’ll see.
