Where was I? Ah yes, Monday!

Did you notice how there was no Sunday morning perkup?

Yesterday… was pretty bad.

Got thru it, mind you, and ideally I’m back now, but yep….

Many many mehs.

But while recovering, I came up with:

I have a new challenge for y’all.

There’s still Monday and Tuesday before we learn the results of the election…. and….

…I think it’s high time we as a nation take back our election.

But as that’s more difficult than teaching Yoda Shakespearean English…

Permit me to suggest that following.

This election has seen enough ickified tweebleheadedness and horribleness to last us until coffee goes out of fashion.

I think instead of hyping and frothing and focusing on something we as individuals simply CANNOT change (right now), we should concentrate upon regaining our humanity.

Our appreciation of our colleagues.

The simple fact that sure, passions might run high. Yippie. But the elections WILL pass…. and what then?

Are you going to keep trying to divide our colleagues into US vs. THEM?

I challenge *everyone* reading this to do, before Tuesday night, the following:

*Reach out*.

Create posts that make people feel *good*.

Write posts about whom you admire and why.

Share the positive wins in your life…

… Spell out the lessons you’ve learned….

… and do your very best to rebuild all the bridges that this time in our history… has destroyed.

Folks, we have only 1 life to live.

And given how the media manipulates virtually *everything* online…

… there’s a HUGE chance you’ve damaged relationships you truly care about… because of the soundbytes that have been effectively used for dividing our rather wonderful nation.

YES. There *are* massive issues in our country today.

BUT. Corrupting the friendships and relationships you care about, solely because of said issues…..

That’s hugely sad.

However, it’s recoverable!

Peoples, start the healing *today*. Stop with the US vs. THEM mentality. The *only* way we as a nation can heal… is if we pull *together*.

And not *apart*.

Watch my wall between now and Tuesday… you’ll see how I will start doing this myself.

There’s only 56 days left until 2017, do you realize that?

And it’s the weekend. OMG what a week.

Survived it (yay!). Yesterday, I got the spandx required for my midsection tummy tuck revision – in a word, wah.

Me no likeee, but if it helps… I’ll do it.

And! Ventured to a great lunch date with the husband, and then hit Walmart for 20 Sparking Waters plus waterproof surgical tape (so I can tape over the stitches).

Workwise, really didn’t get much of anything done (more wahs). I would have hoped to perk up today but I woke up with zero energy to do anything much except perhaps watch Discovery channel.

Know how that feels?

Oh yes, and my local town football team won the second game of the season. Heck has officially frozen over (my school’s football ability is almost as sterling as a snail’s ability to beat the Terminator). Astonishing to see. Wouldn’t it be grand if the public focused on academics instead of sports?

In my dreams, I know.

All together now, wheeee!

Visited the surgeon yesterday – I’m healing on schedule but yep – the incisions on my hips are still rather swollen. Good news is I’ve been cleared for gym starting next week (yay!) and bad news is… I’m not yet cleared for gym (wah!).

Elsewhere in Lingland, did you realize that parenting is not only a hero’s journey… but so is growing up?

My youngest is dealing bunches with that. Raising him is like raising myself … so many of my struggles, I see within him as well. But I survived and he will too!

Today, it’s time for a romantic date. Yes, a real live date with the husband – we’ll be going out for Vietnamese lunch and then hit Walmart for their sparkling water (only 67 cents and they taste great!).

Never let it be said the husband and I aren’t the soul of romance. 🙂
