To all those who celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a splendid holiday indeed!
Over here in the States, we had the delightful Presidential debates. I truly despair for our country. In social media, I see friends threatening to unfriend due to political beliefs…. have we really become that fragile that we cannot tolerate other people thinking differently from ourselves?
I truly just don’t get it.
Elsewhere in Lingland, I gave into sleep… so didn’t take the kids out to celebrate yesterday. However, Honorable Son #1 was sick to begin with… so I dosed him with ramen and let him just chill in his room (was doing ‘way better by the evening) and my youngest went swimming with the husband (yay for exercise!).
I’m back awake now and ready to tackle the world.

Where was I? Ah yes, Saturday!
Has a most excellent day yesterday with the husband. We had lunch over at this tremendous restaurant called Harolds; he got the pastrami while I enjoyed the steak Caesar salad. There’s enough that we were able to bring home portions too… so the kids were fed as welll (yay!).
And the pickles! Lots of half sour pickles (Bright green too) – it’s one of our fav celebration spots.
This week was really tiring for the kids as well. My youngest is truly mastering making ‘slime’ (combining borax and stuff) – we have about 30 tiny containers of all colors and textures. Will take pix soon!
Oh! And 4 years ago today…. I went in for 7 surgeries on my foot/ankle (Which is why its now fused). I posted a picture from that to my wall – amazing how medical technology has advanced.
