Where was I?
Ah yes Monday!
First off, Happy Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights!) for all who are celebrating! Much good wishes to you and yours.
Much more alive day yesterday, although I think I’m coming down with the same thing the husband has. 🙁
He was totally down and out for the day. So the first thing I did was whip up a batch of cure-all chicken soup:
That was made from Costco rotisserie chicken, eggs, mushrooms and (get this) Pumpkin spice!
Worked REALLY good.
Then he finished most of the noodles, so it was another dash to the grocery store to pick up dill weed (the cureall!) like so:
And yep – I DID get the awesomeness known as Ramen as well. It’s part of the cure-all for my family…. just lots and lots of carbs that settle an upset stomach.
For me, yesterday, I boiled up a huge amount of beef bones and have that broth waiting for me too. What’s cool about that – you have to refrigerate the final results so all the fat rises to the top. You can either opt to scrape that off or just add bits and pieces (cook eggs in it etc.) for added richness.
That will be MY food for today. I really plan on working from bed today.

Mainly because, woke up at 4am to take my 3rd kid back to early college.
Big huge long day and ….
I’m just getting too old for this!
Still though, its what parents do.
The husband is coming down with a sore throat and I’m not totally 100% there but…

‘sides that, is it just me, or is this generation just more… *fragile*… than past ones?

I could get used to this, you know….
Waking up past 7am!
Which is one reason why this newsletter is soooooo late.
I’m recovering well from my surgery and by staying on top of the pain, I’m able to keep working moving along rather steadily so yay!
No gym yesterday alas, but hopefully today.
Been dealing with some kid issues as well. Ever realize that youth truly is wasted on the young? I remember myself at that age…
… and wow. Such a self-centered at times twit I was!
And now its payback with my kids. The husband and I will survive, mind you… but yep, I can SO understand why sometimes, enough is enough.

Yesterday, traveled up north to get a 2.5″ football shaped bit of skin removed from left hip… and then 1.5″ on the right hip.

The husband was grand throughout it all, and bought me recovery dessert:
Today is going to be spent doing massive writing and stuff. I’m working on a Bitcoins release…
… and I’m also still trying to figure out the best way to just plain Make Things Happen template-wise.
I also was reminded of some wisdom 6 years ago from the husband:
“From 6 years ago:
“Very good day, Had a great talk with the husband about how what you learn in your 40s….you simply can’t “get” in your 20s and 30s….and what you learn in your 60s….you just don’t “get” in your 40s. Makes things much easier to understand.”
Oh.so.true.”
I so wish my kids would buy those particular clues….
