Where was I? Ah yes, Saturday!
Very quiet Black Friday yesterday. I *did* take the husband for a 45 minute run down to southern NJ – he spotted a sub-woofer on Craigslist (kinda like a miniMoose for stereo stuff, woof woof) and I bargained the price down to $50. Yay!
Then we had a delightful date at Pizza Hut. Note to self – always get deep dish, NOT stuffed crust. Still, though, it was a very enjoyable time (‘way better than Thanksgiving).
Speaking of TDay, I had a serious talk with one kid about long term consequences from short term thoughtless actions. I hope I got thru to the kid. It really did put a damper on the day… but I recognize *I* own that, nobody else.
And! Went to see Fantastic Beasts and How To Give Them Coffee. In a nutshell….
Meh.

Got up this morning for Black Friday shopping at 4:10am, just to see….
… nothing exciting alas.
My Thanksgiving day as well was pretty meh – one of my kids thought their comments were said jokingly but it sure didn’t come out like that. Really bothered me too… and this morning, I realized just *why*. So I’ll use this as a teaching moment and move on.
Today I will be taking all kids to the mall most likely for their Black Friday shopping (the only time generally I voluntarily *go* to the mall). ‘sides that, should hopefully be a nice quiet day.

Well, 24 hours’ worth of hiding has definitely helped.
See, in my fused foot… there is still 1 joint that was left unfused.
And there’s a possibility I’m getting more and more arthritis in said joint…
… which might be making the increased pain… increased.
I will admit, yesterday I gave myself permission to be totally flattened by that.
Didn’t make coffee, didn’t go to the gym….
… just basically kinda sorta stayed in bed and did bunches of isometric exercises and let it all go.
Woke up today doing much better. Your takeaway?
