Ever sit down and have the following grand thunk to yourself:
“Jeepers self, am I REALLY in the right business?”
Hmmmm?
Sometimes, it’s really tough to truly find what type of business works *best* for you.
For example, long long ago, back before the earth’s crust cooled, it was suggested to me that to really make the big bucks, I should go into offline consulting, create packages for local businesses, etc.etc.etc.etc.
And you know something – for some peoples, that would be truly stellar advice!
For people who view “calling on the phone” to be as delightful as a “do it yourself home vasectomy kit” – it would *never* work whatsoever.
Another example! Let’s say that your current work involves direct interaction with customers (aka, customer service).
IF that interaction requires (dare I hint at it) THE DREADED PPPPHHHHOOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!!!! yet again:
You’re up the proverbial paddle without a creek.
And when you factor in social media…
… and how one irate customer basically can cost you your offline business…
Well then.
Dipping your fingertips in molten lava to see how slowly your skin melts off might seem more desirable instead.
So what DO you do… to find out what *really* works for you?
You watch the movie Balto 2!
Now, this was an animation made ears and ears ago, and well hey, let’s revisit a post I made about it!

Indeed it is. Friday morning at around 2am… (after realizing I couldn’t watch Discovery for reasons unknown), the Kingly moose wanted to go outside.
Idjut me decided to see if I could still walk in the dark.
I’ve ALWAYS walked in the dark in my house. ‘Twas a point of pride for me.
Well, last night, I had the exciting adventure of tripping over air and falling down 2 steps and landing somehow on my back.
Bashed my 2 frozen big toes and let’s just say…
Friday was a wash. TOTALLY.
It’s Saturday now at around 1am… and I did have a good nap. So I’m writing today’s newsletter and then ideally going back to bed again.

You know, I’m just getting tired of being, well, tired.
Tuesday was a wash, Wednesday was a wash (got lots of good work done, mind you) and today?

And hopefully husband has recovered from his cold (that’s another thing!).

Well, I had a big discussion with my kids about the importance of not dishonoring…
… themselves.
Like I did to myself, a few days ago, when I jumped to conclusions and spread false information. 🙁
I also basically posted an apology on FB as well.
Why?
Well, I want to be a good role model to my kids…
… and taking ownership when I screw up, you know….
It’s the right thing to do. And that ended up being another big conversation but I *think* my points got across.
Yay!

… was proven to be *fake*?
Can you imagine that?
It’s *so* easy to divide people. I wrote:
“OK there’s something I really do NOT get.
With this great big spotlight on how social media can manipulate ANYTHING and EVERYTHING…
Why isn’t there a call for something ALL sides can agree upon?
Like, say, oh, gee, I don’t know…
Refusing to excuse hate by ANY group
Refusing to excuse sexism by ANY gender
Insistence on *unedited* videos before jumping to judgment
Equal coverage by ALL sides on ALL issues (aka, not only those talking points that support their own personal POV)
And perhaps just as important:
*Personal ownership*.
Aka, if you realize you were *wrong* – you admit it. Explain why. Take ownership. But do NOT double-down on your wrong stance.
Why is the vast amount of the public focusing on *who they want to be seen as wrong* … compared to *how easy it is to get an Internet mob assembled to destroy the unpopular opinion of the day*?”
The conversation that resulted was…
Unique.
