Yesterday, I did neglect one portion of my joint meds (idjut me) which ended up making yesterday not as productive but…
I fixed that this morning and it looks tentatively that…
All things are go.
Which is good.
As today we’ll be driving my youngest 349839 miles to drop the kid off at school once more.
AND…. Kid3 is currently recovering what was missed earlier, class-wise…
So it’s all good.

It’s Friday!
I have got grand news…
It *looks* like I’m able to get more optimal time in, during the day.
Woke up yesterday and switched up the timing of my meds (ie, being proactive to stay ahead of pain) and it worked like a charm.
True, I did collapse around 3pm or so, but still….
That was a total of 6 extra hours for me and you just can’t argue with that.
Got the gym:
…but now, I’m feeling a really weird desire to get to the pool instead today – my leg muscles are hugely cramped for some reason.
So we’ll see.
In other Lingland news, I’m working on imitating a newbie, btw – going to release a single solution sheet probably today.
No upsells, starting from ground 1, BUT…
I’m going to add some twists to it all for a case study.

It’s Thursday!
I am so sorry.
Being a weee bit nonoptimal…
… it’s been doing a number on my.
So sorry for missing both yesterday’s newsletters AND some updates. 🙁
But I do have a story to tell….
Remember Kid3?
The kid has some huge asynchronous challenges (ie, intelligence off the charts, emotional growth… not as much) which led to finishing high school at age 16 (I know, I know – it was a case of the kid already knowing the vast majority of materials then) and having a very character-building fall.
Good news is, that was survived grand (and make no doubt about it – while parenting AND growing older is a hero’s journey (NOTE: see me), so is growing up).
The kid was accepted into a University and so began such a comedy of errors it would be laughable EXCEPT it affected my kid!!
Had to take kid into University to meet with admissions (long story short – Kid was told back in November, all materials were received, would hear of result on 1/1/18. 12/1/18 showed up, no update. Finally kid finds that the ‘application is complete’ was changed to ‘incomplete’. During December, bunches of emails back and forth with the last result being, you’ll have to talk with admissions when office opens (which was yesterday).
So kid and I camped out at Admissions yesterday morning and were the first people there.
50 minute convo resulted.
Weirdly enough, there was ZERO record of kid calling (which I know was not true, as I was in the room several times when kid DID call). And we were told, hmmmm looks suspicious.
But! Kid’s prior 4.0 came into play and we were told, yes, Kid has offer, will receive letter tomorrow.
Yay!
Get home and 30 minutes later – email from University. We cannot offer you acceptance.
Woohoo!
So, I tracked down the person we saw and verified – “disregard that email”.
Which makes me wonder how “if after one database is updated, all are updated, and the databases were NOT updated to the acceptance”…..
Well, I can understand the smooshiness.

Never accept “no” as an answer if its too important.

Don’t forget yesterdays:
Where was I?
Ah yes, Tuesday!
But first: I wrote this yesterday!
It’s the LAST day of 2018!
And what will YOU do today that will make a difference for your 2019 health, happiness and bottom line?
There’s bunches of thingees you can do…
Here’s what I’m doing!
1.) I’m making my last big purchase today so I can claim it on my 2018 business expenses.

2.) I’m forgiving myself for things I didn’t achieve. Sure, goals are grand. But beating yourself up because of not reaching them is counter-productive. Instead, I’m figuring out where I went wrong (that’s easy in my case – nonoptimal health, kinda difficult to fix but hey. It’s there) and how I can cope with it (restructuring work and the like) etc.
3.) I’m giving myself permission to take back my power. So many times people let other folks’ opinions of them *matter too darned much.* To heck with folks who are not living my life as I want to live my life – they aren’t the ones who have to live the with results. I am. And they will be MY results that I want.
Nobody else’s.
4.) I’m internalizing that the youth of today is NOT the youth of *my* day. In other words – kids these days have the same right that I did when I was their age – that of making their own choice and experiencing the consequences.
I am reminded of my eldest’ comment to me back 2 years ago at the last year of Uconn – I was told “Mom, you know something? You were right about everything all these past years. I didn’t listen because I needed to try things myself and learn from the results.”
Side note – I am *incredibly* proud of all my 4 kids. All of them are walking their own hero’s journeys and it is a privilege for me to witness.
5.) I am internalizing that it’s not just my spouse… it’s me as well. We’re both growing older and we’re both having challenges in the memory department. Plus, we both handle things starkly differently (he is a Vulcan and 140% logical, I am an empath and …. am a weeeee bit more emotional). For some reason that’s become a bit more of an issue (after 25 years of marriage) but recognizing it and dealing with it … well, that’s good.
6.) Business-wise, I have the very best partner on the entire planet, so I am thanking my lucky stars for that. Plus, restructuring my product templates so product creation is just as easy in the future BUT… is more applicable to 2019.
In closing…
My own personal 2019 success is 140% dependent upon *me*.
Nobody else.
As is yours.

I confess – we were all tired and were asleep by 9pm.
I did wake up at 12:08am to find that yep, the new Ear came without me… will have to watch the TV footage of that.
AND! There was the latest Steven Universe episode that I could SO SO SO SO SO SO relate to – Steven wanted to create a party of magnificence and in the end, everything went more wrong than a moose figure skating. Heartbreaking it was but can’t wait for the latest!
And! I got to the gym (yay!) and ideally will do so again.
