Where was I? Ah yes, Sunday!
Remember how I mentioned my youngest is making ‘slime’ (aka borax with glue with water and other stuff)….
Well! Feast your eyes on this:

I might have mentioned 2 weeks ago or so, my youngest decided to try his hand at making “slime” (combining borax, glue, other stuff, etc.).
And he *really* got into it… to the point he got food coloring, sparkles, charms, different activators, etce.tc.etc.
We have about 30 different colors/textures/audio sounds/type slimes here at the house.
Well! A few days ago, one of his fav slime instragram folk said she had review spots open (she has about 120K followers)…. and Honorable Son 2 proactively requested one.
Request was granted, he packed a box of his best and sent it off.
Yesterday, we were chatting about NaNoWriMo (he’s also writing stories) and then BAM! The other instragrammer reviewed his stuff live…. and gave it an 11 out of 10.
HS2’s follower count skyrocketed.
And he told me, “Mom, I didn’t think it would get that kind of reaction! I didn’t really think it would happen!”
I reminded him of all the proactive single steps he took to get where he is today with it…
… and how this success is 100% due… to him taking action.
So proud!”
Isn’t that neat!
In other Lingland news, the Seattle storm petered out a bit… so Honorable Daughter II was safe and sound. Yay!

Today’s word of the day is Smooshed Face.
Okay, phrase of the day.
Okay, yesterday.
In other words, had a cavity filled at the dentist….. and needed multiple shots of Novocaine, and ended up looking like Rocky (half my face frozen).
NOT fun whatsoever but…. survived. 🙂
And! Heck froze over – our local highschool actually won a football game! That’s like saying our local telephone repair person actually won the Powerball! Like… such things never happen. So… yep. My kids got to see heck freezing over!
Today should be relatively quiet. It looks like the big huge typhoon that might remnantize nearby Seattle might not be as bad as thought, so my college kid should be okay.

Don’t forget yesterdays:
Where was I? Ah yes, Friday!
I had to deal with a massive bit of ego smooshing yesterday. The good news was, I was able to turn it into a great learning lesson for the kids, the bad news was…. yep, very painful for me to go thru.
However, as always, it’s all good – every day above ground is a good new day!
It’s tough to remember that, however, sometimes.
And Mo, our mowing piggyMoose, is still recovering quietly…. not very active yet at all. Given the surgery, it’s totally understandable… I hope today sees him better.
Plus – it’s Friday! OMG how much I need the weekend. So emotionally draining this entire week was! Didn’t get much to the gym either… WAH.
Bad me. And I’m feeling that lack as well too. :-/ Dont go to the gym, my body just accelerates its smooshing. ARGH!
Hate adulting sometimes, I really do.
