… but you might not be aware of crucial social marketing tactics that could backfire in your face.

But what if you haven’t yet even begun to take advantage of social marketing?
It’s really not that difficult to do…. you could break it down into the following 3 steps.
Step 1.) Ensure you have a welcome page dedicated to the platform. Ever hear of the Twelcome page?www.barbaraling.com/insights/twelcome-to-my-twitter-page is a cool example … and it doesn’t have to be anything hugely different than your usual welcome page. Just by showing you’re aware of how people visit your site can be enough to grab their attention in a positive fashion
Step 2.) Research the best ways to create engagement, depending upon the platform in question.
What works in Twitter could fail dismally in Facebook and leave people weeping in frustration on Reddit! Each platform has its own Best Area Practices…. make sure you read up on the best techniques so you don’t miss the boat.
Step 3.) Armed with the above… go out and social mediaize!
Use the social platform to engage with your users in a way THEY find infotaining and informative.
Create content that gives people cachet whenever they share!
And above all…
Remember to be *real* (fake accounts are oh so 2018, you know).

Yesterday saw (ideally!) a return to the gym, along with the Cane of Justice:

And for my rant…
You know, youth really is wasted on the young.
The amount of energy had then… verses what would be kinda sorta nice now…
No comparison.
Plus I’ve noticed yet again that if one doesn’t do the exercise…
… the Universe basically lets your body go worse and worse.
Blah.
Totally over it.
But hey, still above ground so ’tis all good.
This is going nice still:
It’s pretty cool – took me some time to fine tune it just right but yep….
Very happy with how it turned out!
In other news, dealing with kids. I must remember that back when I was their age, I had my moments of true idjutness so I’m simply hoping that one’s frontal lobes can finally reemerge.

Honestly, I kinda sorta disagree, but there are some useful points about polishing your routing as you go about the day (including… waking up 1 hour earlier).
One neat part about the article focused on time sucks… which is extremely eye opening (think if you used that time instead for other profitable activities!).

It’s Monday!
Actually gnope, it’s Sunday at around 9:15pm and for the VERY first time in my life…
I have attended a watch party!!
’twas with some of my kids and we watched Star Trek Discovery together even though we were thousands of miles away…
We could all enjoy it together!
REALLY enjoyed it bigtime.
In other news, I wrote the following:

What does that mean for you?
For me, it means the day that someone crossed the line… and you realize things can never be the same.
How do you deal with that when it happens?
I can assure you, it’s a gut-punch.
And its something you cannot just “make go away”.
Communications definitely can help, mind you…
… but you have to both be ready to be open and show tolerance to each other.
And reaching *that* point is something that can take quite some time.
So! How do you handle it, when you feel your heart was literally broken?…” (lots more followed)
In a nutshell, that basically described… what I was going thru.
And yep – I must have listened to this song on repeat for hours today.
But then! I remembered what my magnificent colleague, Dennis Becker had recommended…
