Where was I?

Oh yes, Thursday! And yesterday. My. Yesterday was one of those days. It started out grand – visited my kids’ school and chatted with guidance and verified that kid will sit front and center, have planner checked for the next few weeks and all that. Was ready to pounce on the gym when a friend texted me in a bad way and asked if he could spend time with me (didn’t want to be alone).

So I rearranged my day, took good care of him, brought him home to talk additionally with my husband. Good stuff there as well; social angst can be very tough to deal with.

Thing is, though, it totally derailed my day. I’ve lost my usual ability of unlimited energy. 🙁 Years ago, I could counsel for hours/days/weeks on end and it would have no effect on me – nowadays, it knocks me out for the rest of the day (given my current physical conditions). Ah well, ’tis life.

Elsewhere in Lingland, had a great date with my husband! Went to the chinese buffet and as I’m trying to eat wisely, consumed only shrimp and scallops (aka, protein, not massive amounts of carbs). Weight seems to be decreasing (yay!) but we’ll see.

Whats new with you… I’d love to hear…..
