Last night, there were 212+ comments.
Go figure.
Most were polite but yep… had to delete several comments that were just plain nasty.
I can understand feeling a desire to win your points but wow….
Whatever happened to humanity?
Sigh.
Elsewhere in Lingland, I had a chat with the kid about yesterday. Methinks it went well, but today will be the test. Why can’t kids come with their own operations manual at times?

In other LingLand news, I found that one of my 4 kids… appropriated something of mine.
So many ways of making the kid do restitution flashed thru my mind….
- … banning from social activities (not good as the kid has just started learning how to be social)
- … taking away various possessions (eh, never had an effect)
- … making them sell stuff on eBay to repay me (that’s what I finally settled on).
In my vast venerable dinosaur taming age, I’ve learned that being flexible with how I respond is a Very Good Thing….
… so the kid now has the ownership of both paying back AND keeping a detailed record of the processes involved.
Sigh.
Parenting – it’s a hero’s journey.

They won’t always listen.
