As you can tell, I’m a bit late. 🙁 These things happen.
But I did write:

You might have noticed that besides the Deal of the Day goodness, I’ve been slightly less optimal than an actual Axe-swinging hero, minus his Axe. (ok that’s a lousy analogy because Druss would singlehandled decimate ISIS if necessary but I digress).
Here’s what I do.
When I wake up, I generally do my meds regime except during the times I decide, I can handle everything because I am SuperMom!
I actually did that 2 days ago when I decided to cook breakfast/lunch/launch/etc and basically was laid out the next day.
Not soooo bad, mind you, I just worked from laptop (even had a date with the husband at Costco). Still though, Intelligency, thy name was NOT Ling (especially as the husband totally overdid it as well and we were both…. NOT contenders for America Loves Dancing Talent but ignores Science Talent and the like).
Anywhos! When nonoptimal strikes, I try (emphasize on the word ‘try’) to share goodness with folks via memes, thanking people individually for various/sundry things, reaching out to others who are also hurting and the like.
Sure. I love making money. It’s my fav thing to do all the time (next to family, mooses, Beaks of Doom and the rest).
But if I cannot “beat all other marketing folk out there in various/sundry ways” (hint hint hint to all the youngun’s who believe conquer the world and btw – much respect to those – 10 years ago when I was in the best shape of my life, I had much the same attitude towards being the BEST no matter what), I will simply cheer on everyone else.
It’s not a competition to me any more.
It’s not something I need to *race* to, to win.
It’s not something that I feel bad when, say, Michael Cheney goes utterly magnificent in his recent biking winning adventures, or when Bill Hugallconquers anything in his path, or when Ben Adkins develops the ability to backpack across the Universe while able to run his business from said backpack or when Ivana Bosnjak or Cyril Maithily Gupta gets ready to release their latest goodies (I constantly repromote a few marketers including them because their product quality/customer support is stellar)…
I cheer on just about EVERYONE I can.
Because while the entire Universe is centered upon me, for me (which is an utter lie as its really centered upon the husband and kids)….
That’s just for *me*.
For everyone else, I try to pay things forward by raising *their* spirits as well.
Your takeaway? It’s okay to be handicapable and work when you *can*.
It’s okay to do the bare minimum (aka Plus 1) if you are not *capable* of going past that minimum.
And its okay to gain joy and happiness from making *other* people happy as well.

Well. Character-building is one way I’d describe it. Good news is yay, I did get to the gym!
All together now: Wooooot!
Could-be-better-news is the rest of the day. 🙂 But so long as we wake up again… it’s all good, the future is always in motion.
One of the things I did realize that I really do need to pass down to my kids is:
Whenever you’re talking to someone you value, always keep in mind that virtually 100% of the time… they have good intentions towards you.
Communications styles might make that difficult to realize every now and then. ‘matter of fact, I’m reminded of that…. daily …. with one of my kids. Sigh. It’s something that can be hugely frustrating but we did end up having a convo after the massive miscommunications involved. It’s so bizarre – we just don’t *get* each other. Not because we don’t want to, but because we just are *that much* different.
Still, though, got thru it so yay.
(and if you’re wondering, yes, right now I have on infinite repeat my go-to music:

And it’s your duty to the galaxies far, wide, above and more to let others know quite how dumb they are for not *yet* seeing the light you are so graciously offering to provide.
Right?
And after *finally* internalizing the wisdom you possess, your audience is virtually guaranteed to prostrate themselves before your magnificence, thanking you in earnest for all the dazzling truths you have shared!
‘course, there MIGHT be one teeny tiny itsy bitsy squidgem widgem problem with all of the above….
You try converting people with all of the style and grace…
… of a rabid aquatic moose who bumped face-first into the only drunk porcupine in the forest during quill-shedding-season…
… thus limiting your conversational ability to something slightly only barely above “Hulk SMASH!”
