And….. Where was I?
Ah yes, Tuesday!
But first:

Ever wake up one morning and say to yourself:
“Jeepers self, today is a cold rainy icky day…. I think I’ll just work out at home…”
… and then realize the moose needs mooseFood so you go to your car and start it up and it sounds like a herd of hoarse dying mongooses (mongeese?) with a bad case of Shingles?
That was my reality this morning. As my spouse was not at home, I called AAA. During that time, I chatted with a sibling of mine (who tends to always make things work – bizarre skill said sibling has). It was suggested I start the car with the sibling on the phone and voila… it worked kinda sorta! But then the car kinda sorta died (as in, reverse and drive stopped working) so we agreed to wait for AAA.
The husband then returned home… and chimed in that yes, AAA’s take would be quite smart indeed!
The Miracle AAA Knight (henceforth known as the MAAAK) checked out my car, got it running, figured it might have been an excess of fuel so perhaps… get the car checked. Meanwhile, he suggested I keep it running for 20 minutes or so.
At that moment, the husband suggested that dropping my car off at the MagnificentWonderCastle (henceforth known as the MWC, not to be confused with Marketing With Coffee). Sure, the knight who worked there was off for the weekend, but he would return tomorrow and we could drop the key off then.
I agreed…
… and that’s when it happened.
My husband *insisted* on driving my car and that I should drive his (as I’m not the most adventurous when it comes to cars that might turn into a pumpkin at the most inopportune moment).
In other words, my husband wanted to protect that which was most important to him (me).
Such a sweet gesture! Totally normal for him and I really should have expected it.
Which brings me to today’s topic of protecting the most important thing for *you* in your business that is *not* your family….
It’s your ability to keep your head above water when times get tough, swim instead of sink, and drop the ego enough to say, “I don’t know, I need to learn!” when you have to turn on a dime.
See, one way that lots of us fail is our inability to say, “hey! I need help!”
But here’s the great thing about lots of our colleagues – if someone truly says, “Hey! I need help!” chances are…
Bunches of people will respond with ideas that can be put into practice starting today.
Your takeaway from it all?
Always ensure that which is most precious to you… is protected at all costs.
And when you get to a point where you need help, reach out a hand.
Virtually guaranteed… someone will extend a hand to help back.

It’s ALL catching up to me part 2.
Hardly any energy today BUT…
Did see ALL the kids, including the estranged one.
And that went ‘way better than expected.
Need to recover my usual energy but during this holiday week…
I’m SO not going to over-do it, no how, no way.
But being able to let go, as a parent, goes a huge way to getting rid of any angst your adult children might feel when visits are forced upon them all.
Your takeaway from it all?
Don’t helicopter your kids. It stifles their growth.
A very powerful lesson indeed.

But! Ensuring successful marketing of embarrassing niches is a topic that enterprising individuals could definitely profit from via a quick 1 2 3 report like so:
Step 1.) Zero in on an embarrassing niche.
Step 2.) Find PLR about said niche or outsource writing it… or write it yourself!
Step 3.) Find affiliate programs to monetize your site and turn it on.

And….. Where was I?
Ah yes!
It’s Monday!
And yesterday I will admit…
It’s ALL catching up to me.
You know, I sooo miss my younger years of endless energy.
Yesterday, it was a classic example of crash and burn.
Saturday evening at 11pm or so, I decided to see if the moose was inside (answer: yes) and noticed that my car still was nonexistent. Was going to text my eldest to see their anticipated arrival time when they appeared (yay!).
Asked Kid2 about the movie they saw – they were explaining it all when Kid4 walked in (it was 11:15pm by that time) and then Kids 2 4 and me stayed up talking about so many things.
Life, liberty, angst, dealing with tweebleheads and the like…
Really enjoyable.
Finally fell asleep AFTER 12:40am or so and ended up in the weirdest (and I mean WEIRDEST) dream imaginable.
It included aspects of the past half century of my life or so:
- My high school building
- The non-existent mile long parking garage under it
- The talk Cisco corporate gave about AI to in the rooms that were like the college library
- The ‘roofie’
- etc.etc.etc.
And the heck of it was, I’d wake up, shake myself, say, ‘thats bizarre’ and then fall asleep right into the very same dream AGAIN.
At 3am, I finally said, earlobe this, pulled myself out of bed and worked until 5am or so.
Up at around 9am and yep…. lets just say the rest of the day was character-building indeed.
But!
Later on, I was able to watch Rogue One with my eldest and to share that kind of experience (we both adore Star Wars)…
Well, that was an unexpectedly wondrous gift from the gods indeed… ever have a moment when you just *connected* and all was incredible?
Yep. That was my experience.
And! Was able to bring up Mo the Amazing Mowing PiggyMoose:
He was napping while I was writing this newsletter.

Whenever possible, be honest about your physical condition and plan extensive rests.
A very powerful lesson indeed.
