Here in Lingland, my past 2 weeks of goodness came to a crashing halt yesterday. Came back from weight lifting and took a 2 hour nap BUT… did awaken far more energetic so yay.
Made this for the family:
That was a steak teriyaki – picked up discounted meat from ShopRite, 2 peppers and an onion – fed my family of 3 for less than $10.
And remember that yesterday, my youngest was supposed to start walking to/from school?
He did!
That makes for about 3.8 miles a day he will walk… and that is decent exercise.
So yay there.

Don’t forget yesterdays:
Where was I? Ah yes, Monday!
First off, the animation Samurai Jack ended. And oh it was magnificent!
It first came out from 2001-2004, and I vividly remember watching those seasons with my kids (now in college). This year, Season 5 debuted to close out the series and in a nutshell…

Beyond wondrous! And you know something? Ever since my eldest 2 have been studying digital art/creation, I can appreciate animations ‘way more… it really added some tremendous goodness to the series:
Elsewhere in Lingland, the husband and I did get swimming (yay, look at my feet by the beach picture!!):
and then we brought home Indian food for the kids… and took it easy. No, wait, the husband and I went to the movies too – he saw the new Aliens movie (loved it!) while I saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (and walked out of it).
Although I’m waiting for the Raising Cane edition for this:
Ah well, life happens. But did you notice – we’re okay having different interests, seeing different movies, and then returning together again? Love that.
Today is the first day my youngest starts a new habit (walking to school plus other thingees) so we’ll see how that goes. Wish me luck!

Amazingly, the weekend is going rather well (I know, shocking!).
The husband and I took the boys out for dimsum (yum!) where both one kid and I overreacted to each other.
The good news is, we both realized that…
… and both apologized to each other for that.
So yay for that! It’s really good when both people can take ownership of mis-interpreting others, and then recognize the individual fails.
Today, the husband and I will probably go to the movies! Since his taste is ‘way different than mine, he will see Aliens (eeek!) which I watch Guardians of the Galaxy II. It’s nice to have an overall, spend time together while seeing different thingees, activities.
