Looks like my entire family is in holiday mode (and as 4 of ’em are kids, read: play video games/watch TV/do Pokemon Go at the park). Their action item yesterday was to let my husband know if they want to visit any place this week. Will find out how that goes….
In other Lingland news, did you catch that Pokemon Go reference? Yep, my youngest still loves the game and uses it to encourage his exercising. Very helpful for him (even if I understand zero of what he tells me he achieved game-wise).

What a heck of a holiday yesterday. Massive amounts of blorgytoes indeed!
Basically bunches of miscommunications with the kids…
… which led to me feeling mighty sorry for myself….
… which led to me talking it out with the husband and realizing, I’m in danger of turning into my mom.
Don’t you hate it when things like that happen?
Things went upwards from there, mind you, and we all ended up with an enjoyable day (some together, others just with the husband watching Rogue One).
Sigh. These things happen.
Your takeaway?
If you’re a parent and your kids tweebleate, you don’t have to smoosh them on the holidays HOWEVER, effective communication can recover it all. Sure, the holidays are special for kids… they’re also supposed to be great for parents too. Never forget that.
I hope your holidays, if you celebrated them, were grand!

When you’re done reading this, think back to what you’ve seen during the past few days/weeks/etc. and who stands out for having experienced the opposite of laughter and glee.
