Where was I? Ah yes, Sunday!
What a weekend. My apologies for NOT getting out yesterday’s morning Perkup – here’s why.
So! Friday, we drove up to visit my eldest at college. Brought the title of the car too. Yay!
Big huge chat about, life happens, walking away from an accident is a second chance, and yep – after graduation, it is true… the world might not be beating down a path to the liberal arts grads.
And perhaps, getting a second degree.. or going on for a masters…
Makes lots of sense too!
Very long conversation but ultimately, one that worked out *grand*.
So yay there!
Then we went to see “La la land.” It was…. okay. For me, personally, it didn’t flap my earlobes like Rogue One did, but hey, that’s me. 🙂 I did like the concept of parallel universes though!
You know, it’s really true.
Like Steve Jobs said in his commencement address:
“Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
If my eldest hadn’t totaled the car, we wouldn’t have driven up.
And if we didn’t drive up, chances are, we wouldn’t have heard about the worries for after college.
And if we didn’t have our discussion on parallel universes…. my eldest wouldn’t have uncovered the path she is currently on.

Yesterday morning, woke up, took the kid out for breakfast, and then drove the 4 hours back home and proceeded to collapse in a heap.
Feeling vaguely more alive now, I am.
Plus! Yesterday at the hotel, I made “Demystifying Terrific Traffic and Making Money Online!”
Yes, you can tell I went off the rails a weee bit and loved every freakin’ moment of it. 🙂
